October offers opportunity for Jackson Parish 4-H’ers and Ag Center enthusiasts

Talk about hitting the ground running! Jackson Parish welcomed Kristi Bourgeois as the new 4-H Agent the first of September. It would be understandable if the former Beauregard Parish native, who now lives in Ruston, took a little time to get used to the new surroundings. Not this energetic ULM graduate, who has a Bachelor in Ag Business and Animal Science and a Master’s from ULM in Education.

Already Bourgeois has conducted a STEM cell camp, took local 4-H’ers to the Winn Parish Broiler Competition and just this past weekend hosted a Livestock Production seminar. Bourgeois now announces that there are many more opportunities available for 4-H and LSU Ag-Centerenthusiasts, young and old, to enjoy during the month of October.
