On Tuesday, April 4, J-HES held its First Annual Spring Carnival from 5:00-7:30 p.m. for students, faculty, staff, and community members. The event included food, Heavenly Sno-Cones of Ruston, Canvas Painting, a Dunking Booth courtesy of Terzia’s of Ruston, a Bounce House courtesy of The Bounce-A-Round Party Rentals of Ruston, various games/activities, and tons of FUN!
The J-HES Wraparound Program also provided academic support stations by hosting a Title 1 STEM table courtesy of Mrs. Cotten and our District STEM Library. Multiple Chromebook stations were also set up for easy Pre-K/Kindergarten Registration, Steve Carter Literacy Registration, and Summer Enrichment Registration.
Special thanks to Mr. Jason Spangler with Jackson Parish Hospital for providing TeleMed information. Also, would like to thank Deputy Cole and Deputy Chief Brent Barnett with Jackson Parish Sherriff’s Office for spearheading the FREE National Child Identification Program station which helped parents fill out the information/conduct fingerprints. Additional packets will be sent home.
