Bayou Jamb honors JHHS Football Coach Terrance Blankenship

The Bayou Jamb held their annual Sports Awards ceremony on May 13th with Jonesboro-Hodge High School head football coach Terrance Blankenship winning the Courage Award. 

No one in the state of Louisiana has endured as much hardship over the past several years, including losing his own son last fall. Yet through it all, ” Coach Blank” as he is fondly called by his players, not only has faced but triumphed over the incredible adversity by displaying and unwavering determination, resilience, and an unyielding spirit. 

As tradition, each school that participates in the annual Bayou Jamb, which pits the top schools in north Louisiana against each other in preseason football contests, also has players nominated for awards.

Softball: Payge Christesen, Brooklyn Thompson, Sa’Tavia Qualls, Mariyah Jones
