Excruciating Pain and Suffering
Jesus, Son of God endured excruciating pain and suffering.
“So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him. And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. Then they said, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ And they struck Him with their hands (John 19:1-3 NKJV).”
The verdict was crucifixion; Christ, already beaten and bleeding was led to Calvary.
“And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified. Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross (Matthew 27:31-32 NKJV).”
The Savior died for us.
“And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull. Then they gave Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He did not take it. And when they crucified Him, they divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take.
Now it was the third hour, and they crucified Him. And the inscription of His accusation was written above: THE KING OF THE JEWS – (Mark 15:22-26 NKJV).”
Jesus prayed and passed…
“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit (John 19:30 NKJV).”
I invite you trust Christ.
… “and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death (Philippians 3:9-10 NKJV).”
Know Jesus; know the power of His resurrection and sufferings.
