The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that construction will begin on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, on LA 147 in Jackson Parish.

According to LA DOTD, the exact distance will be from the junction of LA 147 with US 167 in Hodge to the Bienville Parish line. Lane closures are to be expected at different points along the highway as crews will be conducting tree trimming, milling, and patching of asphalt concrete, pavement overlay, and other work.
