JPSD “Who We Are Wednesday” program recognizes Brandi Hasley as Staff Standout

In an effort to honor the outstanding educators who toil tirelessly to give the students enrolled in the Jackson Parish school system the best education possible, the Jackson Parish School District (JPSD) is pleased to continue the weekly educator recognition program entitled “Who We Are Wednesday.”

Each Wednesday, one of the faculty members of the JPSD will be recognized for their tremendous commitment, dedication, and excellence in the classroom that helps our local youth prepare for their future endeavors. This week, the JPSD recognizes Brandi Hasley, an 8th-grade math teacher at Quitman High School, as “Staff Standout.”

Celebrating 10 years in education this year—all of them spent serving students in Jackson Parish schools, Brandi began her career with two years at Jonesboro-Hodge Middle School and is now in her eighth year at QHS, where she continues to make a lasting impact.

One of her proudest moments came this past school year when her students averaged mastery on the LEAP assessment, earning Mrs. Hasley a Highly Effective teacher rating—a goal she worked tirelessly toward for both herself and her students. Brandi believes her growth as a teacher is rooted in the very students she serves, inspired by their resilience, work ethic, and determination to overcome challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Brandi credits Paula Williams as the educator who impacted her life the most. Early in her career, Paula took her in, offered guidance and encouragement, and helped her find her footing as a teacher—support Brandi says made all the difference in her journey.

Outside of school, Brandi spends much of her time supporting her children’s hobbies. She also enjoys working in the yard, caring for their many animals, and painting whenever she can find a quiet moment.

Mrs. Hasley’s commitment truly reflects who we are at Jackson Parish Schools!

Please join the Jackson Parish School District in celebrating Brandi Hasley being selected as “Staff Standout” and the lasting impact she continues to make on students across Jackson Parish Schools!
