Registered Sex Offender Arrested in Jackson Parish Compliance Investigation

On March 30, 2026, the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with Louisiana Probation and Parole, made contact with Harvey Pierce, a registered sex offender, at 134 Highway 505 in Jonesboro, Louisiana, while conducting a compliance investigation regarding possible violations of sex offender restrictions.

During the investigation, it was determined that Pierce was using a social media account under another individual’s name and had been communicating through that account. He also admitted to using a social networking application he was prohibited from possessing.

Pierce was taken into custody and transported to the Jackson Parish Jail, where he remains in custody. He was booked on the following charges:

● LA R.S. 14:91.5 – Unlawful Use of a Social Networking Site
● LA R.S. 14:91.9 – Unlawful Presence or Contact of a Sex Offender Relative to a Former Victim
