William Paul Jones
October 9, 1934 – March 31, 2021

Mr. William Paul Jones, age 86 of Jonesboro, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.  Mr. Jones was born October 9, 1934 in Jonesboro, Louisiana and he spent his years thereafter teaching math and caring for his family. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army.

He leaves behind his wife, Billie Faye (Culpepper) Jones; son, Bill Jones; grandchildren, Chase Williams and wife Brittany, Chance Williams and wife Harley, Clay Williams, Carley Jones and fiance Kyle; great grandchildren, Natalie Williams, Nicholas Williams; son in law, Steve Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula (Jones) Williams; parents, Regie and Fannie (King) Jones; brother, Joe Charles Jones.

Mr. Jones’ funeral was held Saturday at the McDonald Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Reverend Randy Dark officiating.  Burial followed in the Jonesboro Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home. Serving the family as pallbearers were Cliff Hampton, Eric Carter, Rhett Jones, Rhen Jones, Robert Baker, Dusty Hampton, Justin Dodson, Jonathan Ayres.  Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Gatlin, Sonny Masters, Larry Hughes, Robert Earl Plunkett, Danny Wayne Hughes, Bruce Ayres, Charlie Newton.

Patricia Ann Stevenson
February 8, 1940 – April 1, 2021

Ms. Patricia Ann Stevenson, age 81 of Jonesboro, walked through the gates of Heaven on Thursday, April 1, 2021.  She was born and raised in Quitman, Louisiana.  She worked for many years as a beautician before retiring and going to work for Louisiana Power and Light.  She absolutely loved anytime that she could get away to go shopping, in fact some might say she was an avid shopper.  She also loved and cherished spending time and visiting with her best friends, Alma and Una.  Patricia was always a very positive lady as she never faltered from her trust and faith in Christ and she knew no matter what the issue was that God could solve all.  She truly loved the Lord with all her heart.  She looked forward to a sweet reunion with her father, mother and loved ones.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, James Harold “Buddy” Stevenson and wife Nancy, Bobby Norred and wife Linda; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Stevenson; mother, Geraldine Nunn; step-father, E.A. “Bob” Norred; brother, Douglas Norred; sister, Frances Norred. The family will hold a private service to honor Ms. Patricia.

Janet Lott
March 9, 1952 – March 26, 2021

Ms. Janet Lott, age 69, went to be with the Lord on March 26th. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 2nd at Higher Praise COGIC in Chatham, LA. Burial followed at the Mr. Mariah Cemetery in Chatham under the direction of Paradise Funeral Home in Jonesboro. 

Nancy Foster
December 20, 1942 – April 1, 2021

Mrs. Nancy Foster, age 78 of Jonesboro, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 1, 2021.  She was lovingly nicknamed “Nancy Fiddle” by her mother, as she liked to always be doing something with her hands.  She enjoyed going antiquing, sewing and gardening.  Mrs. Nancy was an active member at Hodge Baptist Church.  She worked as a lab secretary in the medical field until she decided to become a homemaker full time and spent the last twenty years solely fulfilling those duties.  She was married to the love of her life, Wilfred, for 56 years.  She will be remembered as a dear, loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Wilfred L. Foster; sons, Eddie L. Foster and wife Reinette, John C. Foster and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Clint Foster, Aaron Foster, Allyson Foster, John Landon Foster; brother, Donnie King; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmon and Irene (White) King; brother, Edmon King, Jr.; sister, Julia LaGrone.

Friends may visit on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Hodge Baptist Church from 10:00am until time of service.  Funeral services are set to begin at 11:00am with Reverends Norris Curry and Keith Thomas officiating.  Burial will take place in Gayla Traina Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
