Police Jury Committee Meetings set for Monday

The Jackson Parish Police Jury (JPPJ) Policy and Personnel, Project and Operations Committee’s will meet this Monday, April 26th at the JPPJ Administration Building, located at 160 Industrial Drive in Jonesboro. The Policy and Personnel Committee will meet first at 11:30am at the Nathaniel Zeno Jr. Meeting room followed by the Project Committee at 4:30pm and the Operations Committee at 4:45pm. Agenda items for each are shown below. 

Policy & Personnel Committee: (Regina Rowe – Chairperson, Todd Culpepper, Lynn Treadway)

(1) Discuss and recommend guidelines for board recognition
(2) Discuss and recommend strategies for operational effectiveness
(3) Discuss and recommend policy for the Sunshine Room
(4) Discuss and recommend modified duty policy
(5) Discuss and recommend action of Groundwater Protection Ordinance

Project Committee: (Lewis Chatham – Chairman; Todd Culpepper, Amy Magee)

(1) Discuss and recommend partnership opportunity with Jackson Parish Library
(2) Discuss and recommend action on office space for Robert Moore
(3) Update on Hospital Drainage Project
(4) – Review designs for Police Jury seal. 

Operations Committee: (Amy Magee -Chairperson,; Lewis Chatham; John McCarty

(1) Quarterly status update of traffic counter project – Road Department
(2) Discuss Road Department concerns and requests
(3) Notice: Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office assistance request
(4) Discuss Admin & Maintenance Department concerns and requests
(5) Discuss and recommend action on speed bumps at model bin sites
(6) Discuss and recommend action from results of tax election
(7) Discuss Solid Waste Department concerns and requests
