The Jackson Parish Library Board held a “special session” this past Thursday, June 10th to discuss 2021 Library millage rates and the possibility of an upcoming election regarding such. The meeting was result of the Jackson Parish Police Jury making the statement that it might be possible that they would look at securing surplus funds of the Library to help with shortages in other areas. The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Library Board is set for June 21st to be held in the meeting room of the Jonesboro Branch of the Jackson Parish Library.
