Limited seating affecting ticket availability for Hall of Fame banquet

For the first time in Jackson Parish Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony history the gala event will not take place at the First Baptist Church Community Room but at the Banquet Room of the Jackson Parish Golf Course Club House. The event is slated for August 7th with a social hour beginning at 6:00pm and the induction program starting at 7:00pm.

Being inducted as the Class of 2021 are athletes Bob Garrett, Floyd Miles, Tyjuan Hayes, Wayne Alford, Tommy Logan and Phil Cockerham along with Special Award winners Coach Clyde Berry, Doug Ireland and Dan McDonald.

Important notice! There has also been a change in how tickets are made available as there is seating available for only 150 people. As result, tickets will be distributed as follows:

(1) New inductees will receive six free tickets
(2) Former inductees will receive two free tickets
(3) New and former inductees have option of purchasing additional tickets but must be reserved by July 7th.

Remaining tickets will then be allowed to be purchased by the general public for $15.00 per ticket.

  1. Tickled to see Coach Clyde Berry being honored. Such a fine gentleman, stellar coach, and excellent teacher. I had the pleasure and benefit of having been a JHHS 8th grade math student and Henderson State student and player under his guidance and leadership. Coach had the energy, concern, insight, knowledge, and character that is required for excellence in any field, particularly coaching.
