Are you ready for some football? If so, your wait is finally almost over as this coming Friday at 6:00pm the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers will host Cedar Creek High School out of Ruston in the final pre-season tune-up at Caldwell-Peacock Stadium.
The session will be the final tune-up before the 2021-22 season opens with Jonesboro-Hodge taking part in the 15th annual “Bayou Jamb” held at Raymond Malone Stadium on the campus of the University of Louisiana-Monroe (ULM). The Tigers will play St. Frederick at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 28th.
Entering his ninth year, JHHS head coach Terrance Blankenship is hopeful that Tiger fans will turn out in support of the team which suffered a terrible setback over the summer when two players tragically lost their life in a car wreck.
“We are eager to get the season started and get back to playing football,” said Blankenship. “We have gone through one of the hardest summers imaginable but the guys have been working hard to bring back the winning tradition that Jonesboro-Hodge has been known for over the years and we hope that our fans will come out and show their support.”
