Library Board excited about improvements for 2022

The Jackson Parish Library Board must have felt like Christmas had come early and would stay all year long. That is because on Tuesday afternoon Architect Wayne Coco showed them the final assesments to the  Jonesboro Branch of the Library that is expected to see construction begin soon on a tremendous re-design of the layout. 

In other action Director, Floyd Knox was authorized to auction surplus items from the 2021 surplus
list with the Louisiana Property Assistance Agency and scrap items that do not sell. The hiring of Reanna Rowden as part time for Circulation/Reference Assistant I was also approved contingent upon pre-employment screening and successful completion of probationary period.

In final action the updated 2021 Pay Schedule and employee levels, proposed holiday schedule for 2022 and proposed Library Board meeting schedule for 2022 was approved. Also Ann Standley as appointed as backup representative of Trailblazer to assist Judy Cooper when needed.
