
Richard Ferrell Greer
February 21, 1939 – February 03, 2022
Richard Ferrell Greer, age 82 of Jonesboro, went to meet his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 3, 2022. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army. There were many things that Richard enjoyed spending his time on. He enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley sing and he spent much of his time either in the woods or hauling pulpwood. He loved to preach God’s word and would have made a great preacher. Richard’s heart belonged to his beloved boss, his one true love, his loving wife, Joyce. God, his wife and family were everything to him and he will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joyce (Brown) Greer; children, Lisa Abedi (Ghassan), Randy Greer (Kim), Marsha Stewart (Roger), Peggy Moffett, Todd Johnson (Trish), and many other beloved children; grandchildren, Mirna Smith (Brandon), Mallorie Abedi, Madison Poe (Jackson), Maisie Nola-Grace Abedi, Seth Shoemaker (Angela), Racheal Berry (Daniel), Ryan Greer, Kendor Wayne Stewart; great grandchildren, Tyler Linton, Titan Smith, Rennan Greer; and a host of bonus children and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyn and Ellie (Murphy) Greer; brothers, James Greer, Ronnie Greer, Doyle Greer, Edwin Greer.
Funeral services are set for Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Wellspring Community Church (formerly Full Gospel Christian Center) at 2:00pm with Bro. Billy McBride and Bro. Steven McBride officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Ryan Greer, Seth Shoemaker, Clint Cannady, Daniel Berry, Phillip “Bubba” Moffett, Todd Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Smith, Jackson Poe.
