Jackson Parish School Board to discuss Redistricting Plan

For the first time in several years the landscape of the Jackson Parish School Board (JPSB) may be in for changes as a new redistricting plan for the board members will be discussed and possibly accepted. Several visitors will also be recognized at the Monday, February 7th meeting that will be held at 11:00am at the JPSB Central Office located at 315 Pershing Hwy in Jonesboro.

Before the meeting of board members Gerry Mims, Ricky McBride, Wade McBride, Gloria Davis (President), Dennis Clary, Mary Saulters and Calvin Waggoner (Vice-President), a public review of the redistricting plans will be held at 10:15am. This will be followed by a 10:30am session of the Building and Grounds Committee and the Executive / Finance committees.

Additionally, Matthew Margaglio of Kolder, Slaven and Co. will present the 2021 and Candace Leach, Chris Lee and Dana Williams will be recognized. Discussion of Covid protocols and the adoption of the Committee Reports will also take place before the meeting is adjourned following Superintendent David Claxton’s final comments.

5. Recognize Matthew Margaglio from Kolder, Slaven and Company, LLC that will present the 2021 audit.
6. Consider approving a Resolution for Jackson Parish Schools Board Redistricting Plan No. 4.
7. Recognize Visitors: Candace Leach, Chris Lee, Dana Williams
8. Discussion of Covid Protocols.
9. Consider adopting items per the Committee Reports attached hereto.
