Jackson Parish 4-H’ers prepare for Louisiana Food Challenge

Mmm… Mmm.. Good! That was what the response was after the enticing dishes prepared by the young members of the Jackson Parish 4-H Organization was enjoyed this past week. The event was in preparation for the Louisiana 4-H Food Challenge that will take place at the State Mega Evacuation Center in Alexandria, LA on Tuesday, April 19th. 

The LA 4-H Food Challenge is a competitive cooking experience challenging teams to create a healthy dish from a mystery ingredient. All contestants must be bona fide members of Louisiana 4-H at least 30 days prior to the event and age-eligible for their respective division at the time of qualification.

Teams of 3-4 members will compete in the following divisions:

Division I: 4th – 6th graders
Division II: 7th – 8th graders
Division III: 9th – 12th graders
