Anyone who has been around Weston High School senior, Gabe McMillan and junior, Dillon Pardue knows that the pair can “belt a few bars” as it is commonly called when a person can sing. What locals have known is now recognized state-wide after the pair wowed the judges to earn a Superior Rating at the Louisiana State Vocal Competition. Providing accompaniment was Kathie Shields Venable.
“It was a pleasure to accompany these two young men,” said Venable. “They brought home the gold for Jackson Parish schools and Weston High. I am so very proud of these two awesome leaders.”
