“Bayou Jamb” moving to Louisiana Tech

Fans of Jonesboro-Hodge football won’t have to travel as far this year to enjoy the season opening jamboree. That is because after a 16-year run at Malone Stadium on the campus of the University of Louisiana – Monroe (ULM), the annual high school football Bayou Jamb is moving to Louisiana Tech in Ruston.

This year the 2-day event that will be played on Friday, August 26th and Saturday, August 27th and will include 12 of the top teams from North Louisiana representing schools from Class A to Class 5A. Once again, Jonesboro-Hodge has been invited to participate.

Several changes to the lineup of games are in place this year including the addition of Cedar Creek and Evangel (Shreveport) as well as, the main event changing from the traditional matchup of West Monroe vs Neville to the Rebels playing Ruston.

Here’s the lineup:

Friday, August 26th
5:30pm – St. Frederick’s vs Mangham
7:00pm – Oak Grove vs Ouachita Parish

Saturday, August 27th
1:00pm – Jonesboro-Hodge vs Franklin Parish
3:00pm – Ouachita Christian vs Jena
5:00pm – Cedar Creek vs Evangel (Shreveport)
7:00pm – West Monroe vs Ruston
