Jackson Parish Hospital celebrates Nurses Week

Happy National Nurses Week! This year, the week-long celebration began on Friday, May 6 running through the following Thursday, May 12. The dates always correspond with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. In addition to writing over 150 books, pamphlets, and reports on health-related issues, Florence is also credited with creating one of the first versions of the pie chart. However, she is mostly known for making hospitals a cleaner and safer place to be.

In celebration of National Nurses Week, the Jackson Parish Hospital would like to thank our nursing team for all that they do every single day! Your compassion, optimism, and kindness do not go unnoticed! Because of you, we live in a happier, healthier world!
