Bryceton Aranda named winner of 2022 JPCC Community Service Award

On May 11th, the Jackson Parish Chamber of Commerce represented by Randy Layfield, presented Bryceton Aranda with the 2022 Community Service Award. Bryceton is the son of Blair and Greg Aranda of Jonesboro.

It was the volunteering of what little free time he had from his after-school job to clean the rooms of the Jackson Parish Museum and dust and polish the furniture that got him nominate. His going beyond the call of duty after seeing the saddle that Gov. Jimmie Davis used riding Sunshine all covered in mold and dust and returning on another day to restore the leather to its supple luster is what separated him from others mentioned

Bryceton has been active in various community and patriotic endeavors for many years as a member of Chapter 115 Woodmen Life. He also received the Daughters of the American Revolution Award for character and patriotism. Bryceton plans to attend LA Tech and major in nursing after graduation.
