Jonesboro Cub Scout Pack 523 had a big day picking up trash this past week in celebration of International Trash the Trash Day. Working a two-mile section of Pinegrove Road in Bienville Parish, the nine participants collected twenty-four, 55-gallon trash bags worth of rubbish. They also removed four tires that were in the ditch alongside the road
Trash the Trash Day is an international Messengers of Peace project for Scouts around the world, where each Scout is challenged to bring a friend or family member along and pick up at least one Kilo (2.2 pounds) of trash each on the first Saturday in May.
