One major advantage a young man gains by becoming a Cub Scout of America member is the respect and value for laws and those who enforce it. There is actually a “Scout Law” that each member pledges to try to live up to every day which states that “A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.”
The dedication they make to these principals is what often times plants the desire for a Scout to make a career of law enforcement when they grow up. On Saturday, local Cub Scout Pack 523 showed their appreciation to the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office by bringing cakes and other refreshments to the JPSO Central Office.
