Tony Wayne Causey
April 8, 1966 – June 29, 2022

tonyMr. Tony Wayne Causey was born April 8, 1966 to John and Geraldine (May) Causey and he passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the age of 56 following a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his daddy, John C. Causey; son in law, Timothy Walker; uncle, Billy Causey; nephew, Gage Boren.

Tony was a member of the Mason Lodge and he enjoyed fishing. He had musical talent and played the guitar, trumpet and harmonica. He was a very outgoing and friendly person that never met a stranger, only a friends he hadn’t met yet. Tony had a big heart, always trying to help others. To know Tony was to love him and he will be missed by so many.

Tony is survived by his daughters, Ashley Causey Walker, Toni Pastelle Causey; one granddaughter, Carlie Nicole Walker; his mother, Geraldine Causey; his sister, Teressa Johnston; brother, Monte Causey and wife Rhonda; nephews, Casey Johnston, Chandler Causey; girlfriend, Betty Spears; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, July 3, 2022 in the chapel of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home from noon until time of service. His funeral service is set for 2PM in the chapel. Burial will follow in Gayla Traina Cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Todd Corely, Casey Johnston, Monte Causey, Jared Sander, Chandler Causey, Michael Peoples.

DeLee Cavett
April 20, 1941 – June 29, 2022

cavettDeLee Cavett, age 81 of Quitman, made his way through Heaven’s gates on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. Mr. DeLee was born in Hodge,Louisiana on Sunday April 20, 1941 to Lester and Blanche Cavett. After graduating Jonesboro- Hodge High School he began his career at the paper mill where he worked for 49 years until his retirement. He married his beloved bride, Gayle Alexander Cavett and spent 60 plus loving years together. DeLee enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing. He loved LSU football and was a HUGE Saints fan. He loved especially CUTTING THE GRASS. He loved his grandkids and great granddaughter dearly and enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Gayle Alexander Cavett; daughters, Shannon Crismen and husband Don, Sonia Gayle Daniell and husband Cameron; grandchildren, Geoffrey Rodebaugh, Michael Crisman, Samantha Rodebaugh, Logan Daniell and Liam Daniell; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Watson; sisters, Audie Sandifer of Mississippi, Johnette Fulk and husband Gary of Florida; brothers, Marvin Cavett and wife Pat of Louisiana, Ken Cavett and wife Marilyn of Louisiana; sister in law, Charlene Cavett; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester R. Cavett and Blanche (Burnum) Cavett; brothers, Ronnie Cavett and Jerry Cavett.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Sweetwater Baptist Church from 11:00AM until time of services. Funeral services are set to begin at 1:00PM with the eulogy being given by his nephew, Phillip Sandifer and Brother Steve Nelson Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home.
