The 5th annual Freedom Flotilla on Caney Lake took place at 10:00am this Saturday, June 2nd as scheduled but the forecast of turbulent weather earlier in the day caused some to make an adjustment to their participation plans. The change had been approved per a statement issued by the Caney Lake Community Foundation (CLCF) early Saturday morning, that stated those registered to take part in the flotilla had the option of waiting to parade until conditions improved and they felt more comfortable to be on the lake. Furthermore it was announced that the, judging of the boats, yards, boathouses, docks, houses, etc. would continue throughout the weekend.
