Good turnout watches Weston in intersquad scrimmage

The present and future of Weston High boys basketball was on display this past Friday night in front of a large throng of fans who braved the heat to show their support. Friends, family and fans enjoyed watching the varsity and junior varsity boys under the tutelage of head coach Jacob Otwell play for two 20 minutes halves. Adding to the entertainment was the WHS varsity and mini cheer teams.

“I was pleased with the way we competed,” siad Otwell. “I was especially happy to see several of our younger guys step up and show what they could do.”

Adding to the entertainment was the WHS varsity and mini cheer teams who performed at halftime.

Competing in the scrimmage was Mitchel Mathews, Jamichael Fourd, Daniel Moffit, Tait Henderson, Daniel Watlington, Garret Nickerz, Braden Theriot, Rylee McBride, Tyler Pardue, Jude Otwell, Juan Gonzalez, Abel McBride, Bryce Zehr, La’Javion Harris, Nathin Wages, Savion Searcy, Jase Shirley, Kason Roberts, Dawson Clifton, Grady Peel, Beaux Oliver and Daniel Williams, Skylar Strickland is also on the team but unable to play.
