As result of the overwhelming response to the offering of the locally produced and filmed movie Coldwell Spring for viewing at the VFW Hall, located 618 East Main in Jonesboro the final date to catch the show has been extended to Saturday, July 16th.
“We had 23 people come on Monday night which is just outstanding,” said Director Philip Lawrence. “You don’t see that many people at the large cinemas on a weeknight.”
Filmed locally and containing many Jackson Parish residents among the cast, the mystery movie is about a woman and small-town sheriff who suffers from PTSD and become entangled in a fifteen-year-old cold case. The film culminates in a dramatic trial and climactic final scene, revealing the events of the night in 1985 when two Texas men went missing in the town of Coldwell Spring.
