Learning the answers to the question of who is “throwIng their proverbial hat in the ring” begins Wednesday, July 20th before finalizing at 4:30 pm on Friday, July 22nd. Starting at 8:30am candidates will begin descending on the Jackson Parish Clerk of Court Office to officially announce their candidacy for a variety of local offices all over Jackson Parish.
Included in the offices that will be contested in the November elections are:
Jackson Parish – School Board
Town of Jonesboro – Mayor, Chief of Police, Board of Aldermen
Village of Hodge – Mayor, Chief of Police, Board of Aldermen
Village of North Hodge – Mayor, Chief of Police, Board of Aldermen
Village of East Hodge – Mayor, Chief of Police, Board of Aldermen
Village of Quitman – Mayor, Board of Aldermen
