Jackson Parish Library to show Coldwell Spring this week

This coming Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, the movie Coldwell Spring that was primarily filmed in jackson Parish and written, directed and produced by local resident Philip Lawrence will be shown at the Jonesboro Branch of the Jackson Parish Library. 

After several weeks of drawing rave reviews by those who attended the nightly airings at the Jonesboro VFW Hall, the film which features many locals as extras will be shown at 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 26th and Thursday, July 28th before a final viewing at 10:00am on Saturday, July 30th.

There is no cost to attend but seating will be limited so you should call (318) – 259 – 5697 to reserve a seat or come by the Jonesboro Branch Library, located at 614 South Polk Avenue. With a rating of PG the running time of the movie is approximately 1 hr 25 minutes (85 minutes).

Frank and Tammy’s Magic Show ends Summer Reading Program

All good things must come to an end and thusly so does the 2022 Summer Reading Program, but what a way to go! All summer long young patrons were treated to an incredible amount of fun, entertaining and educational events and programs by the tremendously creative staff of the Jackson Parish Library. 

Closing out the plethora of activities was Frank’s and Tammy’s Magic Show that brought ooh’s and aah’s from the many youth and their parents in attendance. The directors, managers and staff of Jackson Parish Library would like to thank all who participated in the programs this summer.
