Assistant Police Chief, Cody Cheatwood, was reinstated to duty by the Hodge Board of Aldermen during their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. The session was held on Monday, October 4th, in the meeting room of the Village of Hodge Town Hall.
In the first order of business, board members Willard Willis, Steve Fox and Martha Buchan voted unanimously to put Cheatwood back to work and retain his previous position after he was controversially dismissed roughly a month and a half ago.
In other action taken by the three member panel a 1989 Ford Tanker Fire Truck was declared as surplus property and a Resolution was made to pay engineering costs and administration fees. The short sesssion began with bills for the month of September and minutes from the last meeting approved. After final comments were made the meeting was adjourned.
