
The Office of the Louisiana Department of Health has rescinded the system wide boil advisory issued by the Chatham Water System following samples collected being cleared on October 19th. The boil advisory was put in place following a breakage along one of the main water lines earlier in the week that has since been repaired. he water system’s copy of the sample results containing chemical analysis as well as bacteriological analysis as received per Revised Total Coliform Rule compliance are on file with the Chatham Water System.
“I am pleased to announce that the boil advisory has been lifted ensuring that the drinking water is once again safe to consume,” said Chatham Mayor Greg Harris. “I want to thank our town employees for their quick response to the problem and to our residents for their patience and understanding over the past several days.”
