Recreation Board approves Co-Operative Endeavor Agreement with Town of Chatham

The Jackson Parish Recreation Board agreed to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor with the Town of Chatham to repair/replace the fishing pier located next to boat ramp and remove limbs/debris along the Chatham Lake levee in the amount of $6,850.

The decision was made by board members Rodney Potts, Jeff Hairston, Sullivan Stevens and Rickey Cash at the meeting held in the Banquet Room of the Jackson Parish Golf Course Clubhouse on Monday, October 17th. Chris Womack, Brent Barnett and Brandon Lamkin were absent. 

In additional business the 2023 budget was approved for the Police Jury to review and a discussion was held about setting up a finance and/or personnel committee. An update of ongoing programs at the Sports Complex and at the golf course was also heard.

Several agenda items were tabled until the next meeting that will be held on Monday, November 28, including: approval of September financials, Cooperative Endeavor agreement with the Jackson Parish Watershed District, Cooperative Endeavor agreement with the Jackson Parish Library, amending the 2022 budget and rental policy for the sports complex.
