J-HES Royal Court & Student of the Year Candidates Participate in Community Service

On Monday, November 14, the students of the Jonesboro-Hodge Elementary Royal Court and Student of the Year Candidates participated in their First Annual Thanksgiving Community Service Project. The students and their peers collected canned goods through a Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive. The students then delivered to local agencies, Pine Belt Multi-Purpose Agency, whom they share a Wraparound Partnership with, and Christian Community Action (CCA) of Ruston.

“I am very proud of our students and their commitment to service at a young age. This experience allowed students to see first-hand the value of food and how impactful non-profit organizations are to people in the community,” -Danielle Copeland, Principal.

Special thanks to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Jonesboro and Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of East Hodge for their donations.
