Library Board confirms Stevens and Malone
It can’t be said that the confirmation of Pam Stevens and Lyndsey Malone for full-time status with benefits is some kind of Christmas gift. They earned it! Still, it was a welcome thing to hear when the Jackson Parish Library Board of Control officially approved that the date of the probationary period for both had ended.
“We are very pleased to have Pam and Lyndsey as part of our team,” said JPL Director Floyd Knox. “Both bring unique skills and talents and are tremendous to work with. We look forward to them being here a long time.”
In another action, board members approved a change order to the Library Park Project that is currently under construction. The change was made due to a Fire Marshal’s decision that a ramp had to be built next to where some steps were planned. After discussion with the engineer, architect, contractor, and Library staff it was decided instead to simply make the area level through the hauling in of more dirt.
