Each year members of the Northern Louisiana Hospital Auxiliary presents a Louisiana Tech nursing student with a $1,500 scholarship in an effort to help them with their education.

This year the recipient of the scholarship was Karmen Neal, a Tech nursing student from Shreveport, who is shown on the far left in the banner above along with Sherrie Rich, Deloris Taylor, Tanya Sims, Ann Thigpen, Margarita Cazenave and Sam Williams. 

The scholarship is presented annually to a nursing student at Tech who is a junior or senior who has high academic achievement and a desire to help her community by entering the medical field.
