For the last 50 years, Ms. Marie Pearce has been living in the Jonesboro Housing Authority (JHA) complex and is a Jackson Parish Council on Aging (JPCOA) Home Delivered Meal Participant.
To celebrate her half a century at the JHA, the JPCOA combined with several town of Jonesboro agencies have a parade in front of her home to let her know that she was important to them.

That was just one of the events that seniors in the Jonesboro area enjoyed through the JPCOA and at the Robert Riddle Senior Center, located at 120 Polk Avenue in Jonesboro. Another favorite time during the month was when the seniors who attended the daily meal were taken into musical memories with ULM Young Artist Ambassadors under the direction of Mark Clark, Professor of Music & Theatre.
The student singers motivated the Seniors to Music & Movement with songs like the Beatles, Disney, Musical Theatre, Folk Music, The Carpenters & Patriotic songs. The group included Jackson Parish native Presto Anderson, who blessed the patrons with a beautiful solo.
