First Grade class at WHS sends cards to Veterans, gets unexpected response

The “Good Book” says it is better to give than receive. It is awesome though that through giving you also receive a blessing. Earlier this year, Mrs. Noelle Otwell’s first grade class from Weston High School showed their appreciation to US Armed Service Veterans by creating and sending Christmas cards.

As it turned out the cards were received by the Northglenn American Legion Post in Colorado. To their surprise, the class received a thank you card that included a letter from Bob Holmes, Post Adjutant. Not only that, in appreciation of the youth’s thoughtfulness, a check for $350.00 was included.
