This past week Ag Ambassadors from all over central and northwest Louisiana, including Jake Potts of Quitman High School, (shown above) had the wonderful opportunity to learn about the agricultural industry and the wide variety of available career paths.
The educational outing began with “tomorrow’s leaders” going to Doug Young’s Nursery in Forest Hill to learn about the Horticulture industry. From there it was on to Alex Box Stadium, home of the LSU baseball team where they learned about turf grass before heading to the Louisiana State Capitol to meet with several Senators and Representatives. Capping off the educational day was a visit to the new Louisiana Farm Bureau state office.
