The Jackson Parish Council on Aging honored the mothers in the daily meal program recently. Special recognition was given to Ms. Flossie Blackburn for being the “senior” in attendance. Gifts were awarded and the group enjoyed delicious cookies provided by Traina’s Bakery in Jonesboro. Each week day, seniors from Jonesboro and the surrounding area congregate at the Robert Riddle Senior Center, located at 120 Polk Street in Jonesboro, for a scrumptous meal and fellowship.
