While most high schoolers are basking in leisure or partaking in summer time activities, the boys and girls on the Quitman High School basketball teams have been busy preparing for the 2023-24 season ahead.
This past week, representatives of the two squads traveled to Northwestern State University to take part in the annual NSU Summer Team Camp. While not everyone that is expected to be on the roster this year was able to participate, the Quitman contingent on hand played impressively.
The boys team won all three games, beating Winnfield, Son of Saint and Oak Hill while the girls, comprised of mostly 8th graders and freshmen, won one of four games played.
