
Ralph Robinson
February 03, 1929 – June 25, 2023
Ralph Robinson passed away in Shreveport, Louisiana on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the age of 94. Mr. Ralph was a resident of Danville, Louisiana and retired as a school bus driver in Bienville Parish after 40 years. He started driving a school bus when he was 14 years old! Ralph was the owner of Danville Grocery/Exxon. He was a baseball coach and played for the Danville Deacons in his younger years. Mr. Ralph enjoyed gardening and loved babysitting his grandchildren. He was a Christian and was committed to the LORD and to his church, Friendship Baptist.
Ralph is survived by his son, Joe Robinson and former wife, Kathy Robinson; grandchildren, Harlie Robinson, Halie Robinson and fiancé, Robert Harper, Junior Williams and wife, Eva, Renee (Williams) McPhail; great grandchildren, Trey Williams, Journie Tannehill and husband, Josh, Bryce McPhail and Kimberly McPhail.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Robinson; daughter, Deborah (Robinson) Williams; father, John Bunyon Robinson; mother, Willie Velma (Stinson) Robinson; siblings, Eugene Robinson, J.B. Robinson, Doris Robinson and Lorene Weeks.
A memorial service under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro was held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Louisiana with Bro. Robert Leach officiating.
Carolyn Sue (Ferguson) West
November 23, 1952 – June 26th, 2023
Carolyn Sue (Ferguson) West, formerly of Jackson Parish, went to her Heavenly home at the age of 70 on Monday, June 26, 2023. Carolyn was a Christian who loved the Lord. She worked as an insurance agent and also owned a painting company in Dallas with her former husband, Randy West. Eventually, she moved back home to care for her mother. After her mother’s passing she moved to Oklahoma where she resided for nearly 20 years. People were drawn to her, especially children. Children fondly called her “the Human Toy”. She was loved and will be truly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory is her brother, Jason Ferguson and wife Rhonda; brother in law, Dalton Abercrombie; nieces, Isabel and Penelope Ferguson, Stephanie Roberts and Quinton Howard, Sr., Charmaigne Dodson and husband Berry; nephews, Brandon Abercrombie, Adam Abercrombie and Gayla, Joshua Roberts and John Dylan Ferguson, Lucas Thomas; Aunts, Gloria Hutto, Ruth Ann and Huey Caskey; great nieces and nephews, Donovan and Jessica Shultz, Justin and Holly Dodson, Janie and Anthony Russell, Hillary and Carlos Martinez, Hunter and Victoria Abercrombie, Abby and Zachary Staples, Cameron and Josie Abercrombie, Quentin, Jr. and Olivia Howard, Deuce Thomas; and many cousins and great, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Maudine (Rowe) Ferguson; sisters, Sherry Ferguson, Vicki Abercrombie, Mary Roberts and husband Chris Roberts; brother, David Ferguson.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 in the chapel of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home 2:00PM with Bro. David Essmeier officiating.
Stephen Marcus Farabee
1949 – July 4, 2023

Stephen Marcus Farabee, age 74, of Jonesboro, LA. passed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 in Winn Parish Medical Center. Stephen graduated from Lafargue High School in Effie, and from Automotive Technical School in Texas.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard M. Farabee, Sr. and his mother, Alyene Proffitt Farabee; brother, Leonard M. Farabee, Jr. To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his sister, Stephni F. McNeal (Marc); niece, Kristi McNeal (Cope); nephew, Jason McNeal (Alisha).
Graveside services for Mr. Farabee were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Oak Grove Methodist Cemetery in Effie, LA with Pastor Grady Dodge officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Grove Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction Hixson Brothers Funeral home of Marksville.
