INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY BY A COURT OF LAW
Per a report filed by the Jackson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO), at approximately 11:11 pm on Monday, July 7th, 2023, a 911 call was received about a shooting that occurred on Gladway Road in Jackson Parish. JPSO Deputies, Jackson Parish Ambulance Service, and Ward 7 Fire District responded where upon arrival found Mark Dewayne Kelly standing outside. Inside the residence, a male victim who was later identified as Marcus Foster of Quitman, was found deceased.
Kelly was taken into custody and booked on a charge of 2nd Degree Murder at the Jackson Parish Detention Center. He is currently in jail being held without bond. No further information is available at this time.

Why is this listed as a domestic incident? There is no proof of that! This was cold blooded murder and the victim was HIS SON Marcus Foster! This headline is misleading and completely wrong!! It was FRIDAY JULY 7, 2023, not Monday.
