
LA Elite Basketball, the summer tour ball team comprised of top returning high school and recently graduated athletes from north Louisiana, finished with a 3-2 record at the Primetime Nationals played in Dallas, TX this past weekend. Several team members set new personal tournament scoring marks in the tournament, including Briley Peterson of Weston High School.
The 2022-23 District 1B Most Valuable Player ended her summer season by turning in her most dominant tournament performance to date. Peterson was virtually unstoppable as she tallied 75 points over the five games for an average of 15 points per game to lead LA Elite in scoring.
Four more team members set new scoring marks as well including Alicia Skains (South Ark CC) – 38 points, Abbie Hooper (Haughton High School) – 34 points, Justice Young (Arcadia High School) – 30 points and Travesti Bryd (Minden High School) – 18 points.
