
The Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District is Paramedic Myron Curry has been selected to be featured in this month’s Employee Spotlight by the Jackson Parish Ambulance Service District.
Myron started his EMS career in 1996 in the oil and gas industry as a Safety medic. From there he joined Med-Express Ambulance Service as Paramedic/Director of Operations, before finally coming to call JPASD home in 2001.
Since then he has served the residents of Jackson Parish faithfully for the past 22 years, working countless natural disasters for both the state of Louisiana and FEMA. Over the past year alone he has answered the call to 520 patients in need of help.
Myron is actively involved in his community. As a member of Hodge Baptist Church he leads morning worship and serves as Youth Director. He is also a member in the contemporary church band, Who So Ever Will.
Myron uses his Christian leadership to mentor to youth in surrounding parishes as he serves as Youth Director of Friendship Camp and has sat on the nominating committee for the North Central Baptist Association.
He not only strives to improve the lives of his fellow community members spiritually and medically, but is also an advocate for healthy lifestyle mentorship at Anytime Fitness where he provides his services as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
Myron and his wife of 11 years, Terri, have a blended family of five sons – Devin, Hunter, JP, Trey and Alex and four grandchildren – Huey, Vanessa, Cohen and Reed. And we can’t forget the head of the Curry household, POTUS, the family cat.
In his spare time, Myron is an avid hunter, guitar player, classic rock connoisseur and enjoys an occasional day on the lake fishing. Myron has proven himself as a valuable asset to JPASD as well as to his community. Thank you for your passion to help others in their time of need.
