Let the fishing begin! All the proverbial “I’s were dotted and T’s crossed” this past week as the Louisiana State Fire Marshall gave their official approval to open the new fishing pier, located adjacent to the Ebenezer Boat Launch on Caney Lake. 

According to Jackson Parish Watershed Commission Vice President, Gary Joynor, a grand opening will be scheduled soon along with the addition of lighting and other enhancements to Caney Lake’s newest amenity.

Joynor also applauded everyone who helped make the Ebenezer Pier Project possible.

“This is a great example of community involvement and political subdivisions working together for our great parish,” said Joynor. “We invite everyone to walk out and enjoy the view or fish.”
