The two-man team of Richie and Jake Vail came home with the lion share of the winnings after taking first place and capturing the prize for big bass at the Hook’s Marina 3-Bass Blast held August 10th on Caney Lake. 

With the “bite” being hard to come by, the Vail’s were only one of three teams to bring fish to the weigh in and one of only two to catch the tournament limit. Their three fish total that weighed 16.26 lbs. brought home the first prize of $216.00 with the 6.01 lb “Big Bass” netting $100.00.

Coming in second place with three fish weighing 16.18 pounds was Dustin Goins and Terry Wooten with Pete and Jacob Tinnerello landing one fish weighing 4.11 lbs to earn third place. Six more teams competed but caught no fish.
