Meet The Tigers

What’s your name, number, and position?
Quirese Howard, #57, OL/DL

What are your hobbies outside of football?
Personally, I just like being outdoors. I like Fishing, Hunting, and hanging out with my friends.

What is your best memory from playing football so far?
I don’t have just one yet. I really do like going out there and hitting people.

Do you have a favorite pregame meal?
If I had to choose one, it’d be Pasta.

What is your favorite subject in school?
Any kind of Math, because of how fast-paced it can be.

Who would you say is your biggest motivation in life?
I don’t have one particular person, but I can say there is a group of people. My uncles and elders have always been in a bad place or have made mistakes, and I want to show that I can be different.

What do you think are your biggest strengths that you bring to the team this season?
I would say my leadership, and also my ability to motivate my teammates. It’s important to stay away from all the negative influences outside of school and football, and to remember that while nobody is perfect, we need to always try to get better everyday.

Are there any college or NFL players that you take inspiration from?
I like to watch a variety of players to see the different play styles and abilities each player has. For defense, I like watching Aaron Donald, Chris Jones, and Cameron Jordan, and then Trent Williams for offense.

Do you have any advice for younger players on the team, or at the junior high?
The most important thing is to always believe in yourself. Another thing, is always try to be a leader and set examples for others, no matter what grade you’re in.

What are your plans after graduation?
Honestly, to try and get a good job, so I can start working.

Lastly, what are your goals this season for yourself, and the team?
For the team, the number one thing is to be more disciplined. I feel that the team has a lot of talent, but that we need to stay disciplined and coachable. There’s no reason why the team can’t win as many games as we did the year we went to the semis. A personal goal of mine this season is to hit 325 on bench, and also 525 on squat.
