With temperatures expected to reach as high as 106 degrees this coming Saturday, Bayou Jamb officials have rescheduled the Jonesboro-Hodge vs Sterlington contest to be played at 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 24th.
“In the interest of player’s safety it was decided it would be best to move the game to Thursday evening instead of that Saturday morning,” said JHHS head coach Terrance Blankenship who along with players Quirese Howard and Noah Lucas attended the Bayou Jamb Media Day on Monday.
Originally the schedule had JHHS playing at 1:00 pm on Saturday at “Don Shows” Field on the campus of West Monroe High School. Also reset was the Cedar Creek vs Mangham contest that was slated for 3:00 pm on Saturday but now will be played at 8:00 pm on Thursday.
