
The Jackson Parish Communications District announces that applications are now being accept for the position of E-911 Director. The position is to be considered part-time with no benefits extended and including a three to six month probationary period. Salary will be on a monthly basis based on experience, qualifications and hours expected to be in office.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Set-up and maintain office records to include handling district payments and making monthly deposits.
- Maintain and update map file of Jackson Parish addresses.
- Assist the Board Secretary in preparing board minutes and other records.
- Maintain computer with updates of new addresses.
- Handle telephone calls and correspondence for district.
- Assign a physical address to new and existing residences, businesses, or other locations as required.
- Work with other agencies in the parish to assist them with needs related to 911 addresses.
- Handle any state or federal requests concerning 911 addresses in Jackson Parish.
- Put up yard 911 signs or street signs as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid Louisiana Drivers License
- Must be an American citizen
- Must be bondable
- Must pass drug test
- Must be computer literate in Word and Excell programming
- GIS experience is preferred
