Jonesboro’s new gated retirement community located on Industrial Drive is nearing completion according to Jeff Glover with MGM Development Group.

“Dry weather has allowed us to make considerable progress on constructing Jonesboro Senior Village and we should have units available in late December or early January,” said Glover.

Construction-wise the plan is to finish pouring concrete for the street and parking areas this week and the interior finish work is progressing nicely.

“I can’t wait to see the community after the units are painted and the shutters are installed, it will really be an attractive addition to Jonesboro,” said Glover.

“Our property manager, Rampart Property Management is now taking applications for our full-time property manager for Jonesboro Senior Village (see classified ad),” continued Glover. “We anticipate taking tenant applications in December and plan to contact everyone who is on the waiting list to set up appointments.”

The new retirement community will feature forty-four, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom units, and six 1 bedroom, 1 bath units. All appliances will be provided including washers and dryers and the complex will have a fully furnished clubhouse with exercise center, kitchen area, and piano. The certified-green community will have low utility bills thanks to the latest advances in insulation, energy efficient appliances, and HVAC units. The development will also have free Internet WiFi service throughout the community.
