The Quitman boys and Weston girls took victories in the all Jackson Parish Jamboree that opened the 2023-24 LHSAA basketball season for small schools. After the two schools played a five minute junior varsity girls and boys contest in the newly renovated Quitman High School gymnasium and letter jackets were presented to Quitman athletes, the Lady Wolves toppled Quitman 29-22 followed by the Wolverines turning the tables on Weston by a 49-24 margin.
Sure is short for Weston to win. If quitman had won every one on the team that hit the wood would be mentioned. You are very biased to Quitman and it’s not fair. The athletes on all the school teams deserve recognition. Not just one school. I think Quitman is a great school. If the problem is no one at Weston reports news and happenings how about asking the community to submit activities and pictures. I am sure they will be more than willing to contribute. Thank you
